The Hotel Santa Caterina, obtained by transforming an 18th century patrician villa into a small cosy hotel is situated just a few metres away from "Porta Romana" one of the medieval gate entrances to the historical center of Siena. Nowadays both the Fattoria and the Villa offer the best hospitality, differentiated only by the types of apartments; those of a cosy and rustic tuscan style are located in the Fattoria, on top of which are four indipendent little houses with their own garden. The seven apartments, found on the 1st floor of the Villa, and put at the disposal of the guests, are greater in size, and as a general rule, are decorated ornately with paintings and frescos. Our ancient building, just restored and renewed, is made up of 6 charming apartments, personalized and dedicated to the most famous horses, winners of the Palio. Each apartment faces the Tower Contrada and is furnished extremely tastefully in Tuscan style, with visible ridgepoles and small ridgepoles. They have an entrance, private bathroom, bedroom and combined kitchen-living room with all utensils (some of them have dishwashing machine too); every apartment has its own sat TV, air conditioning and heating, private safe.
