Since the 1500s, this splendid historic residence of the famous house of Priuli has welcomed Venetian patricians, who arrived at the water gate or entered from the square, across the spacious exclusive garden.
The beauty and calm of the green trees and lawn, the charm of the entrance on to the canal so typical of Venice, are still here today to welcome our guests.
Inside the hall of the hotel, one sees the refinement and harmony of the colours; on the settles, the arms of the two noble families united in the 16th century.
The majestic horseshoe staircase of the accommodation leads you gently up to the piano nobile: sensational, dazzling, splendid, it will take your breath away.

• From every arrival point : Water Taxi landing directly at our private Water gate at the Palazzo in Rio/Canal Santa Sofia
(please supply the following information to the taxi driver: PALAZZO ABADESSA, approdo diretto nel CANALE/RIO SANTASOFIA, entrando da Fondamenta Nove, Rio S. Caterina, Rio di cà dolce e poi Rio SantaSofia, zona"ex tribunale minorenni", approdo tra i 2 ponti). The taxi driver MUST carry you into the Palazzo: please insist!!!

Take the Bus to Venice (Piazzale Roma bus stop) and then Buy a ticket for the ACTV waterbus (vaporetto) number 1. Get off the boat at the Ca d'oro stop: exit and walk to the Strada Nova, turn right ,walk past Calle delle Vele on your left, the next little street on you left will be Calle Priuli follow it to the Abadessa at Calle Priuli (n.4011). The entrance to the palazzo is the large green door on your left before crossing the bridge of the canal Santa Sophia .
